Central Florida Presbytery, PCA
Online Exam Portal
This page contains links to all online exams for each of the various exam categories for licensure or ordination. Before you proceed, please be sure to make use of the study resources listed on the page, Preparing for Online Exams. If you would like to take the "mock" exams prior to the real exams below, go to the Mock Exam Portal first. Then when you are ready, proceed with the exams at the bottom of this page.
Please note that you can only take these exams after you have completed certain steps in the licensure or ordination process (see Examination Process) and after you have received the password for each of the exams (see instructions below for more details). Also, you must take and pass the Bible Exams prior to taking any of the remaining exams. After you pass the Bible Exams, you may take the remaining exams in any order you want. For licensure candidates, the Sacraments and History exams are not required.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR TAKING ONLINE EXAMS
-
With at least 24 hours notice, email the Exam Committee Chairman (see Officers and Committees) to get the exam passwords and get added to the access list.
-
If you do not pass an exam on your first attempt, you are allowed one more attempt in the current Presbytery testing cycle. If you do not pass a second time, you must wait for a later cycle and re-take any failed exams at that time. Any exams you passed will carry over to the next cycle.
-
We allow up to 6 hours for each exam, but most candidates complete each one well within 2 hours.
-
Before you take the exam, find a place with a reliable computer and internet connection where you will not be distracted or tempted to use a reference of any kind. You must complete this exam in one sitting (bathroom breaks are allowed).
-
The questions in these exams are absolutely confidential. They are not to be saved to your computer, printed out, or shared in any way with anybody.
-
When you are ready to begin, click the link below and follow the instructions on the screen. The system will ask you for your e-mail address and password first, and then your first name and last name.
-
During the exam, after you answer each question, you are allowed to go back and change your answers (by clicking the Previous arrow) up until you click "Confirm Finish Now" at the very end. After that point, you cannot go back and change any answers.
-
After clicking "Confirm Finish Now," your exam is complete and you can close the browser window. If you are taking a multiple-choice exam, your results will be graded automatically and will be displayed at the end along with the right answers to any questions you got wrong. If you are taking a fill-in-the-blank exam, your results will be emailed to the Exam Committee Chairman for manual grading, which may take several days to complete.
-
NOTE: If there is a glitch with your internet connection or the web page freezes for some reason, wait for a minute or two, and if nothing happens on the page after you clicked something, refresh your browser page. If that doesn't work, close your browser window and then re-open the page by clicking the link below. Your exam should resume where you left off. If none of these actions work, call or email the Exam Committee Chairman as soon as possible so he can reset the exam for you. Don't worry if this happens! We'll work something out.
